NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome, a multiprotein complex, contributes to the development of liver disorders, such as alcoholic steatohepatitis, viral fulminant hepatitis, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, through processing caspase-1 cleavage and IL-1β secretion (15–18). This evidence concerns the gene IL1B and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
