We found that, without purposeful immunization or infection, Gal-3 KO mice displayed significantly (p < 0.001 by unpaired Student's t-test) higher concentrations of IgM, IgG2c, and IgG3 in serum (Fig. 1c), as well as higher frequencies of IgM and IgG ASCs in spleen and bone marrow (Fig. 1d), in comparison to WT mice. The gene discussed is IGHG3; the disease is infection.
