In the present study, the serum CORD assay of methylated TWIST1 resulted in a sensitivity of 36.0%, 30.0%, and 44.4% for the detection of non-advanced adenoma, advanced adenoma, and CRC, respectively, showing better performance compared with CEA (16.7%, 16.7%, and 17.6%, respectively) and equal or better performance compared with FIT (8.0%, 24.3%, and 44.4%, respectively). Here, CEACAM5 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
