IFNA1 and alexithymia: Poor quality of life in patients with HCV (n = 124) was also independently predicted by alexithymia (at baseline: semipartial r = 0.24; at follow-up: semipartial r = 0.39) and depression (at baseline: semipartial r = 0.24; at follow-up: semipartial r = 0.31) before (T0: R2 = 0.60) and at the 6-month post-IFN treatment follow-up (T3: R2 = 0.69) (Cozzolongo et al., 2015).
