PTGS2 and Alzheimer disease: This result was in line with previous studies which disclose that miR-103 is decreased in AD patients and models, and the role of PTGS2 on accelerating progression of AD through regulating inflammation (Heneka et al., 2010; Yao et al., 2010; Cheng et al., 2013; Wang et al., 2014; Toral-Rios et al., 2015; Chang et al., 2017; Guo et al., 2017; Huynh and Mohan, 2017; Sawikr et al., 2017).
