In New Zealand, a combined approach of these two methods was adopted in 2006.Sequencing of LQTS genes 1, 2, 3 (SCN5A, also associated withBrugada syndrome), 5, 6, and 7 was offered free of charge to the National ForensicService in SUDY cases (age 1–40 years). Here, SCN5A is linked to familial long QT syndrome.
