[37] studied critically ill AKI patients in continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), showed that even after adjustment for severity scores (APACHE and SOFA), serum albumin and creatinine, the daily protein intake remained independently associated with mortality (OR = 4.62, 95% CI 1.48–14.47, p = 0.009).
