To understand the molecular mechanism by which Uev1A promotes colon cancer metastasis, we demonstrated that overexpression of UEV1A, but not UEV1C or MMS2, is able to promote IκBα phorsphorylation and NF-κB translocation into the nucleus, and that this effect absolutely relies on its physical interaction with Ubc13. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and malignant colon neoplasm.
