In the 20 high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (CIN2, CIN3) and the 48cervical cancer tissue samples, the methylation rates of WT1and DBC1 in the HPV16/18 positive group were significantlyhigher than those in the HPV16/18 negative group (P< 0.05).The methylation of NKX6-1, however, showed no significantdifference between the two groups (Table7). This evidence concerns the gene NKX6-1 and cancer.
