MAPK/VEGF signaling-related genes EIF4EBP1, VEGFB, and MAP2K2 as well as numerous neurodegenerative-related genes were also validated as significantly regulated by miR-210, including OXPHOS genes (ATP5G2, ATP5D, COX8A, COX6A1, NDUFS7, NDUFS8, NDUFA4L2, and CYC1) and the apolipoprotein E gene, APOE, the major genetic risk factor for AD (Figure 2b,c) [50]. This evidence concerns the gene MAP2K2 and Alzheimer disease.
