Loss of chromosome 3p, which is pathognomonic with ccRCC and encompasses four commonly mutated genes (VHL, PBRM1, SETD2, and BAP1), was observed in all but five tumors (K021, K375, K354, K255, K114R) (Figure 1A). This evidence concerns the gene PBRM1 and nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
