In this regard, our results, showing that treatment with Hsp90 inhibitors induced the suppression of TLR5 cell surface expression and NF-κB activation in THP-1 cells, suggest that Hsp90 inhibitors could be useful to treat tumors, especially human myeloid leukemia that was previously reported to be associated with enhanced TLR5 expression and signaling [24]. The gene discussed is TLR5; the disease is myeloid leukemia.
