Increased levels of Mcm2 expression have been detected in a variety of cancers (Table 1), and it is often accompanied with overexpression of Ki-67, a representative marker for cell proliferation (Meng et al., 2001; Going et al., 2002; Chatrath et al., 2003; Davidson et al., 2003; Yang et al., 2006; Guzinska-Ustymowicz et al., 2008, 2009; Szajerka et al., 2008; Vargas et al., 2008; Giaginis et al., 2009; Razavi et al., 2015; Scapulatempo-Neto et al., 2017). This evidence concerns the gene MKI67 and cancer.
