This data was in line with progressive tubular atrophy and dilation in mice with nephrocalcinosis (oxalate only), which significantly decreased following preemptive administration of the antibodies, as indicated by PAS staining (Figure 2C) and intrarenal mRNA expression levels of the kidney injury marker-1 and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-2 (Figure 2D). Here, TIMP2 is linked to nephrocalcinosis.
