Motallebi et al., (2017) [133] used methyl jasmonate (MeJA) to protect durum wheat inoculated with F. culmorum, which increased the expression of genes encoding immune responses to infection: phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL), lipoxygenase (LOX), cytochrome P450 (CYP709C1) and selected PR genes (PR3, PR4 and PR9). Here, TMEM37 is linked to infection.
