Taverna et al. [68] evidenced that non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells secrete exosomes containing the EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) ligand and Amphiregulin (AREG); these extracellular vesicles are able to induce the in vitro osteoclast differentiation of murine RAW264.7 cells by activation of EGFR phosphorylation, and the induction of mmp-9 and tracp expression. This evidence concerns the gene ACP5 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
