In light of the extensive heterogeneity associated with GBM tumors and cell lines, combined with the difficulty associated with extrapolating findings from mRNA expression studies to protein expression and activity [38,39], we decided to use our paired isogenic U87 lines (B-FABP negative and B-FABP positive) to further examine a possible relationship between B-FABP expression and PKC activity.
