PCAT‐1, transcribed from the introns of known genes which correlate with the differentiation degree of PCa, was identified as a prostate‐specific regulator of cell proliferation.15 Prostate cancer antigen 3 (PCA3), also known as differential display 3 (DD3), has been thoroughly explored as a PCa‐specific biomarker.16 Thus, elucidating the roles of lncRNAs in tumours holds great promise for the prevention, early detection and treatment of tumours. The gene discussed is PCA3; the disease is posterior cortical atrophy.
