FBXW7, a member of F‐box family proteins, is a substrate recognition component of the SCF (complex of SKP1, CUL1, and F‐box protein) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex that mediates the ubiquitin‐dependent proteolysis of several oncoproteins, such as MCL1, Myc, cyclin E, and mTOR, so it is regarded as a tumor suppressor at the crossroads of cell division, growth, and differentiation (Cheng and Li, 2012; Mao et al., 2008; Welcker and Clurman, 2008). This evidence concerns the gene FBXW7 and neoplasm.
