INS and polycystic ovary syndrome: Additionally, a subgroup analysis revealed that obese PCOS patients had higher levels of diastolic blood pressure, insulin, HOMA-IR, hsCRP, and monocytes, while members of the lean PCOS group had higher levels of diastolic blood pressure, insulin, HOMA-IR, hsCRP, neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, and total testosterone as compared to age- and BMI-matched controls; notably, these findings were consistent with those of many previous studies [3, 20–24].
