EPHX2 and hypertensive disorder: This finding is consistent with the hypothesis that decreased endogenous sEH metabolic activity increases EET level, such that A allele carriers were associated with a high level of EET and lower risk of DN compared with individuals with GG genotype after adjustment for sex, age, smoking, BMI, history of hypertension, Hcy level, duration of diabetes, TG, and total cholesterol in the current investigation under the additive and recessive genetic models and that a similar trend was observed under the dominant genetic model (P = 0.059).
