Since the first clinical signs of a possible immunostimulation appeared 10 months after initiation of pembrolizumab and tumor response was first seen 2 months thereafter, the time to response would be on the far end of what has been reported for anti-PD-1 immunotherapy in various types of cancer, with most clinical trials showing a median time to response of around 2 months [20–29].
