This pilot clinical trial evaluated the safety and efficacy of subcutaneous vaccination with glioma-associated antigens (GAAs) and their epitope peptides including IL-13Rα2, EphA2, and Survivin. Five of twenty-six patients experienced inflammatory-associated pseudoprogression, defined as six-month progression-free survival following transient clinical progression, with one patient experiencing an event free survival of greater than three years [25, 26]. The gene discussed is IL13RA2; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
