Consistent with our observations, we found no evidence of methylation of the CHKA, ETNK1, and ETNK2 genes in our models or in IDHmut glioma patient biopsies in the TCGA dataset, suggesting that 2-HG-induced DNA hypermethylation may not play a major role in downregulating CK and EK activity in IDHmut glioma cells. This evidence concerns the gene CHKA and central nervous system cancer.
