HOXA10 and ovarian cancer: For example, miRNA-135a has been reported to suppress cell proliferation, apoptosis, and adhesion by targeting HOXA10 in ovarian cancer [31]. In this study, target prediction software identified a miR-139-5p binding site in the 3′-UTR of HOXA10, and dual-luciferase reporter assays confirmed that HOXA10 is target of miR-139-5p.
