AGT and metabolic syndrome: In our study, we found that the plasma angiotensin I and angiotensin II levels were increased in the 4 m/o offspring of maternal high-fat and postnatal high-fat diets, and that resveratrol can reverse these, which hint resveratrol may improve high fat-diet-induced metabolic syndrome by decreasing the levels of angiotensin I and angiotensin II.
