To test the functional role for HMGB1 in promoting pancreatic-cancer-cell invasion, we treated Panc-1 cells with PBS (control), N-S, HMGB1−/−-S, N-S + EP (Ethyl pyruvate, HMGB1 inhibitor, 1 mg/ml), and different concentrations of recombinant human HMGB1 (rhHMGB1, 50 ng/mL, 100 ng/mL, 150 ng/mL, and 200 ng/mL) for 12 h, respectively. Here, HMGB1 is linked to pancreatic neoplasm.
