However, all the evidence indicated that there was no significant difference between miRNA-542-3p expression and other clinical features in HCC, like age, gender, AFP level, cirrhosis, or HBV (Table 3) (P ≥ 0.05), although advanced analysis revealed that the expression level of miRNA-542-3p was clearly associated with tumor differentiation (P = 0.009), tumor size (P = 0.004), and portal invasion (P = 0.001) (Figure 2(b)). This evidence concerns the gene AFP and hepatocellular carcinoma.
