TNF and lung cancer: In a next series of experiments, we incubated primary CD14+ monocytes either with complete TuSN, EV‐depleted supernatants, or isolated TEVs derived from three head and neck cancer cell lines (PCI‐1, GDH‐1, FaDu) or the lung cancer cell line A549 for 24 h and thereafter measured the concentration of the pro‐inflammatory cytokines TNF‐α and IL‐1β, and of anti‐inflammatory IL‐10 in the supernatants with ELISA assays.
