Notably, we found that hepatic cyp7a1, the gene encoding the rate-limiting enzyme that acts at the first step of converting cholesterol to bile acids, in the case of zebrafish, BA (Kuipers et al., 2014; Reschly et al., 2008; Thomas et al., 2008), tended to be reduced in the presence of the intestinal tumor (Fig. 6B and Tables S2-S6). This evidence concerns the gene CYP7A1 and intestinal neoplasm.
