The driver genetic abnormalities were investigated in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC); excluding patients whose information of EGFR (n = 62) and ALK (n = 54) was unavailable, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations was found in 32.6% and anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) gene rearrangements was found in 4.7% in adenocarcinoma patients. The gene discussed is EGFR; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
