METTL14 and hepatocellular carcinoma: Similarly, METTL14 manipulates pri-miRNA processing by regulating the recognition and binding of DGCR8 to pri-miRNAs in an m6A-dependent manner and thus METTL14 depletion in HCC results in pri-miR126 processing arrest and reduces the expression of mature miR126 who has been identified as a metastasis suppressor, leading to advanced metastasis capability.
