In contrast, Kong et al., (2013) found no statistically significant correlation between HR-HPV infection and Ezrin overexpression; however the authors support the idea that there is a positive correlation of HR-HPV infection and Ezrin overexpression in cervical cancer, because more than 80% of HPV-infected cervical cancer samples showed Ezrin overexpression [17]. This evidence concerns the gene EZR and cervical carcinoma.
