In human leukaemia K562 cells, the induction of apoptosis by genipin (200–500 μM) was coupled with upregulated Fas-L expression, increased caspase 3 activity, cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase, and upregulated p-JNK, p-c-Jun, Fas-L, Bax, and cytochrome C [48]. This evidence concerns the gene FASLG and leukemia.
