Wilcoxon analysis showed the median levels of serum GDF15 were only mildly increased from 920.9 pg/mL pg/mL to 946.6 pg/mL (p = 0.473) at 4 weeks after surgical resection, while median serum CA125 levels were decreased from 54.7 U/mL to 29.2 U/mL (p < 0.001), indicating that CA125 is superior to the GDF15 for the assessment of the tumor burden.
