Even if the etiology of AA as a paraneoplastic syndrome of HL has not been fully elucidated, cellular immune responses impairment or the anergy occurred in HL were thought to be the possible causes, based on the findings that the number of circulating T lymphocytes (in particular, CD8+ suppressor T‐lymphocytes) are reduced in AA 13, 15, 17. This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and Hodgkins lymphoma.
