Results obtained from both immunofluorescence and Western blot analysis showed a significantly higher GFAP immunoreactivity in primary 3×Tg-AD astrocytes than non-Tg cells (immunofluorescence: P < 0.05; Western blot P < 0.01) (Figures 2(a), 2(b), 2(e), and 2(f)), while we did not detect changes in S100B signal (P > 0.05) (Figures 2(c), 2(d), 2(e), and 2(g)). This evidence concerns the gene GFAP and Alzheimer disease.
