We have demonstrated [2] that an important mechanism underpinning the resistance to apoptosis of malignant cells from multiple myeloma (MM), a cancer of plasma cells, is the NF-κB-dependent up-regulation of the Growth arrest and DNA-damage-inducible GADD45-family member, GADD45β (Uniprot AC: O75293; 160 amino acids; Molecular mass 17,818 Da). This evidence concerns the gene GADD45B and cancer.
