In the current study, we report a novel SNP in ccRCC‐ rs1055259 in the 3′untranslated region (UTR) of GSTM3 significantly reduced the ccRCC risk and influence the binding of miR‐556 to the 3′UTR of GSTM3. This might be the potential mechanism of rs1055259 impact the renal carcinoma risk. This evidence concerns the gene GSTM3 and nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
