These factors, including C-reactive protein (CRP), Glasgow Prognostic Score (GPS), modified Glasgow Prognostic Score (mGPS), high-sensitivity modified Glasgow prognostic score (HS-mGPS), neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), are all easily obtainable from peripheral blood samples, and have been validated in many types of cancer [13–15].
