Such is the case for GSK3β and we previously reported that the pharmacological GSK3β inhibitors (AR-A014418 and SB-216763) inactivate GSK3β in cancer cells within an hour after treatment, while the GSK3β-specific siRNA takes longer than 48 hours to efficiently, but not completely, deplete GSK3β expression in the same cells [13, 15].
