Suppression of cell survival by GSK3β inhibition was consistent with our previous studies showing induction of morphologically apoptotic bodies/cells, terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP (2’-deoxyuridine 5’-triphosphate) nick end labeling (TUNEL)-positive cells, and ladder-like DNA fragmentation, and the suppression of human telomerase reverse transcriptase and telomerase-mediated cell immortality pathways in colon cancer cells [12–15]. The gene discussed is GSK3B; the disease is malignant colon neoplasm.
