Given that Islet Amyloid Polypeptide (hIAPP1–37) is the most abundant protein in amyloid fibres in the pancreas and its toxic oligomers are a crucial element in the physiopathology of Diabetes Mellitus, we have studied the hIAPP1–37 aggregation-oligomerization pathway (Figure 5, Figure 6, Figure 7, Figure 8 and Figure 9). Here, IAPP is linked to diabetes mellitus.
