Jo-Heon Kim et al. observed significantly higher methylation frequencies of RASSF1A in ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) or invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) than in control subjects, but the CpG sites they investigated in the RASSF1A promoter region were different from ours [49]. The gene discussed is RASSF1; the disease is invasive ductal breast carcinoma.
