ROCK1 and cardiac hypertrophy: Although the favorable effects of ROCK1 deficiency on cardiac remodeling in other pathological cardiac hypertrophy models have been reported, including pressure overload and genetically-induced pathological cardiac hypertrophy [32–36], the current study has further extended the cardioprotective roles of ROCK1 deficiency against doxorubicin cardiotoxicity, and discovered a role for ROCK1 in mediating doxorubicin-induced dysregulation of autophagic flux in cardiomyocytes.
