Surprisingly, however, even in the longer exposures shown in Figure 7B, we did not detect signals specific for phosphorylated RIPK3 (pRIPK3) or phosphorylated MLKL (pMLKL), suggesting that in ADAM17ex/ex mice, induction of acute colitis by DSS does not result in necroptotic signaling despite the presence of RIPK3 and MLKL. The gene discussed is MLKL; the disease is colitis.
