AKT1 and nasopharyngeal carcinoma: Conversely, restoring miR-141 levels reduced the protein expression of PTEN and stimulated AKT phosphorylation in c-Myc knockdown NPC cells (Fig. 5b), suggesting that the activation of the AKT pathway by c-Myc is at least partially dependent on the repression of PTEN by miR-141 in NPC cells.
