RAC2 and cardiac hypertrophy: Reduced expression in heart mRNA levels of CD mice was observed for Ncf1 (t3 = 14.15, p = 0.0008, unpaired t-test with Welch’s correction), but not for the other tested genes (Cav1, Cyba, Hsp90, Ncf2, Nos3, and Rac2) (Fig 8B) indicating that the mechanism by which the cardiac hypertrophy is improved does not involve these genes.
