Small nucleolar RNA host gene 14 (SNHG14) is located within the Prader-Willi critical region and extends in antisense into the region of the ubiquitin protein ligase E3A (UBE3A) gene, whose deficiency in brain cells in children causes neurogenetic disorders, such as Angelman syndrome [10, 11]. The gene discussed is SNHG14; the disease is Angelman syndrome.
