No statistically significant interactions were identified–the association between the proportion of energy derived from the intake of each macronutrient and incident type 2 diabetes did not differ significantly by GRS for type 2 diabetes (pinteraction ≥ 0.20), insulin resistance (pinteraction ≥ 0.21) or BMI (pinteraction ≥ 0.22) (Fig. 1 and ESM Table 4).
