Although Cnb1CD11c mice did not develop evident symptoms of colitis (such as weight loss, diarrhea or rectal bleeding), they exhibited significantly higher intestinal permeability, titers of fecal IgA (Fig. 3c), and myeloperoxidase activity in homogenates of the terminal ileum (Fig. 3d) than Cnb1fl/fl controls.
